The Battle of Black Ridge
Battlefield: a scorching desert plain at noon · 9 Oct 2026 · Ranked
Lone Sherman
One WWII M4 Sherman tank with a 5-man crew, a 75mm gun with 40 shells and two machine guns. It cannot refuel and the crew must eventually rest.
Napoleonic Line
400 Napoleonic line infantry with smoothbore muskets and bayonets firing in volleys, 60 hussars on horseback, and 2 field cannons firing roundshot and canister.
ROUND 1: THE ONLY ROUND
Lone Sherman opens up with both machine guns. Then Lone Sherman simply drives through Napoleonic Line, tracks grinding, and Napoleonic Line finally break, the colours lost in the smoke.
» The 75mm fires one last time and Napoleonic Line is no more.
THE WAR ORACLE'S VERDICT
Lone Sherman should dominate here. Immune to pre-modern weapons is too much for Napoleonic Line, whose slow reload leaves it with very few answers.
- Immune to pre-modern weapons
- Slow reload

MVP: The tank driver
It was over almost before it began. Lone Sherman barely broke a sweat.
