The Shores of Contested Power
Battlefield: a wide sandy beach at low tide · 6 Oct 2026 · Ranked
ROUND 1 OF 4
The Emperor's first salvo of Force lightning arcs across the beach in a blinding cascade, but Dr. Strange weaves a shimmering shield just in time, the bolts ricocheting harmlessly into the sand. Vader advances with methodical purpose, his armoured footfalls crushing shells beneath him whilst Iron Man launches a barrage of repulsor fire that forces the Sith Lord to raise his palm in defence.
ROUND 2 OF 4
Strange opens a portal beneath Vader's position, but the Dark Lord senses the trap and suspends himself with a mere gesture of his gloved hand, hovering above the swirling vortex. The Emperor seizes the moment to unleash a torrent of lightning directly at Iron Man, who absorbs the first strike but staggers backward, his suit's power core flickering dangerously as electricity scars his armour.
ROUND 3 OF 4
Iron Man retaliates with a desperate unibeam strike aimed at Palpatine, forcing both Sith to momentarily scatter across the beach. Strange conjures a temporal slow-field around Vader, but the Emperor's sheer malevolence shatters it like glass; the combined psychic pressure sends the mystic wizard to one knee, blood trickling from his nose as his defences crack.
ROUND 4 OF 4
Vader descends upon Iron Man with crushing telekinetic force, ripping away panels from his suit whilst the Emperor advances with outstretched palms, lightning building to a crescendo. Strange attempts one final portal, but Palpatine's lightning incinerates it mid-formation, reducing both the portal and the sorcerer within to ash and ember as Iron Man's repulsors sputter and fail.
» The Emperor stands triumphant at the tide-line, his Force lightning still crackling between his fingertips, whilst Vader surveys the scorched beach strewn with the remnants of his enemies' ambition.
THE WAR ORACLE'S VERDICT
This is a clash between pure Force dominance and multimodal modern-technological-plus-mystical firepower. Palpatine's Force lightning and Vader's telekinesis are catastrophically effective, but Dr. Strange's portal magic and time-distortion abilities can redirect attacks or create tactical escape routes, whilst Iron Man's sustained barrage and armour plating deny easy victory. The sandy beach offers no cover; mobility and durability become paramount. Dr. Strange's ability to create shields and portals buys time, but if Palpatine or Vader achieve even brief physical contact (choke, lightning), the outcome is decided. Iron Man's speed and firepower can force the Sith to defend, but the combined Force mastery gives them the edge in a prolonged engagement.
- Dr. Strange's portal magic vs. Palpatine's Force lightning—if lightning penetrates portals, Sith win; if portals consistently redirect, Marvel survive longer
- Iron Man's armour endurance under sustained Force choke and lightning assault
- Whether Dr. Strange can maintain stamina for time-rewind or portal spam across an open beach
- Vader's raw telekinetic power vs. Strange's shield spells in a direct Force-magic clash
MVP: Palpatine's overwhelming Force lightning barrage
The sandy shore bears the scars of absolute domination—smoking craters mark where ancient sorcery met technological defiance, leaving only the victorious Sith standing. The Mystic Avengers' bold stratagem crumbled beneath the raw, unrelenting power of the dark side.
