The narrow mountain pass erupts into chaos as the Dark Lord and his enforcer advance with preternatural grace, their lightsabres carving through the first rank of students like a scythe through wheat. Dumbledore raises his wand desperately, conjuring walls of flame and protective barriers, but Palpatine's crackling lightning vaporises spell-work faster than it can be woven, whilst Vader's cape sweeps aside the third-years like autumn leaves.

A wedge of students attempts to flee upslope, but the Emperor's malevolent laugh echoes off the stone cliffs as arcs of pure lightning funnel into the bottleneck, incinerating dozens in moments. Dumbledore trades furious volleys with the Sith Lord, his phoenix-summoned flames meeting Force-choke and electroute, but the confinement of the pass is a strangling noose—nowhere for the children to scatter, nowhere to hide from omniscient predators.
ROUND 3 OF 4
Vader's lightsabre opens a trench through the panicked throng whilst his master's fingertips discharge annihilation itself; the screams of third-years blend into a single, gurgling dirge that echoes down the mountainside. Dumbledore's hair smoulders as he shields the last knot of students with his body, but even the greatest wizard of his age cannot bend physics—nor stop the crushing, invisible grip that closes around his throat.

The Headmaster staggers backward, gasping against the Force-strangle, and in that moment of weakness Vader strides past him into the cowering cluster of children with his blade ignited. The last defiant spell from Dumbledore's wand fizzles against Palpatine's outstretched palm as the Emperor shrugs aside centuries of wizarding wisdom with a dismissive gesture.

THE WAR ORACLE'S VERDICT
In a narrow mountain pass, the Sith would methodically massacre the students. Vader and Palpatine are individually superhuman combat masters; each is capable of killing dozens of trained soldiers. The 1000 third-years are mostly children with a few months of magical education. Dumbledore is formidable—his duel with Voldemort and mastery of magic are canonical—but he is one wizard against two Force-wielders who specialise in combat lethality. The pass's confinement is irrelevant: Force users can sense and move through crowds, Palpatine's lightning is indiscriminate area denial, and Vader's mere presence psychologically breaks untrained cohorts. Panic cascades through the student ranks within minutes. Dumbledore cannot simultaneously protect 1000 people while fighting both Sith Lords.
