The Stand at Hollow Pike
Battlefield: a scorching desert plain at noon · 10 Oct 2026 · Ranked
Crusader Knights
150 heavily armoured knights in full plate on barded warhorses with lances and longswords, supported by 300 crossbowmen behind large pavise shields.
Lone Sherman
One WWII M4 Sherman tank with a 5-man crew, a 75mm gun with 40 shells and two machine guns. It cannot refuel and the crew must eventually rest.
ROUND 1: THE ONLY ROUND
Lone Sherman rumbles onto a scorching desert plain at noon, turret traversing slowly. Then Lone Sherman rakes Crusader Knights with machine-gun fire, and Crusader Knights are finally dragged from the saddle one by one.
» The 75mm fires one last time and Crusader Knights is no more.
THE WAR ORACLE'S VERDICT
Lone Sherman should dominate here. Immune to pre-modern weapons is too much for Crusader Knights, whose horses tire quickly leaves it with very few answers.
- Immune to pre-modern weapons
- Horses tire quickly

MVP: The Sherman's gunner
It was over almost before it began. Lone Sherman barely broke a sweat.
